Yesterday morning, we reported on the mounting war on the streets of South Central Los Angeles involving the Rollin’ 100s Crips. Since then, we have been able to gather more information by keeping our ear to the social media streets.
As reported, there is apparently a war that will be waged for the next “100 Days” on the streets of South Central. It started with the death of a high ranking member of the Rollin 100s Crips. The war is a violent game of manhunt, where both factions are actually competing to see who can be the first to stack up 100 bodies or just see who can do the most damage in 100 days. The streets have revealed that this feud isn’t a traditional one between the Crips and their rival Bloods. The Rollin 100s rivals in “100 Days 100 Nights” are the 52 (5-Deuce) Hoover Gangster Crips.
Bodies have been dropped and even more have been injured by gunfire in the past week. A Facebook post from someone close to the situation can be read below (the identity of the user is being withheld for his/her own safety):
Ok so here’s the deal, it is not an urban legend and I stand corrected.
Right now LAPD’s South Bureau is on tactical alert. Here’s why.
I’m told by folks who would know that there is officially 100 Days of Killing in South Los Angeles. There is a war right now between the Hoovers and Da Hundreds after the killing of a dude on 109th and Hobart by the Hoovers. His death caused a riot in Soledad and Folsom prisons and caused Da Hundreds to declare war on the Hoovers.
Today was funeral for Dell Dog from Main Street Crips. I’m told there was major disrespect from the Hoovers at the funeral.
After the funeral there were three shootings. One shooting was on Hoover and 81st (headshot), another on 75th and Figueroa where the victim was involved in a traffic accident trying to flee and right now there was a shooting on Hyde Park and Brynhurst where the guy was shot in the stomach and taken to Regan UCLA where he not expected to live. He is being uncooperative. All suspects and victims in today’s are Black males.
Imperial to Slauson, Broadway to Van Ness is the hot zone. Black males 16 to 40 need not be on the streets in South Los Angeles right now.
The LAPD and the City of Los Angeles are unlikely to speak publicly about this because of the Special Olympics World Games. But while folks are concerned about bad publicity folks are dying in the streets.
The mainstream news doesn’t have enough contacts on the street to know what’s going on and unless the City or the LAPD issues a press release they wouldn’t know about it or where to start in reporting it.
Act accordingly everyone.”
