BMB Records Boss, Brian “Peanut” Brown Under Investigation For Alleged Heroin Ring
In 2010, Brian “Peanut” Brown came home from a ten-year prison bid for cocaine distribution. Since then, Brown has rebranded himself as a reformed ex-drug dealer and her to the city of Detroit, with his BMB Records imprint. The labels’ roster includes Ray J, Kash Doll, Charli Baltimore and Bre-Z (from Empire). However, Brown is suspected of being the head of a heroin empire that has distributed more than 440 pounds of heroin laced with fentanyl throughout the United States. Brown’s wife and girlfriend are also suspected of being involved.
Nevertheless, even after a years-long investigation, raids on six houses and two banks (during which the DEA has seized at least one kilogram of fentanyl) and informants implicating Brown, the Detroit mogul remains free. The investigation was revealed when the government unsealed a federal search warrant last week. Brown is suspected of using BMB Records to launder millions in drug proceeds.
