Brisbane Cannabis Kingpin Goes Down For Importing $30M Worth Of Weed & More
On November 6, accused cannabis kingpin Joshua Paul Thornbury appeared in the Australian Supreme Court building in Brisbane to plead guilty to orchestrating the importation of 2.8 metric tons of weed worth $30 million. Thornbury copped out to two counts of trafficking in drugs, one count of drug possession and one count of possession of property obtained by drug trafficking, according to the Courier Mail.
In a separate case, Thornbury pleaded guilty to 160 charges pertaining to the theft of $4.2 million in opals from “high-profile businessman John Fish’s Hope Island home.” This is reportedly one of the world’ largest opal collections.
