Earlier this week, we reported on a flight attendant that ran off on TSA agents when they tried to check her bags at LAX airport. It was revealed that she had 11 bricks of cocaine inside her bag, weighing 68 pounds. According to NBC News, the fugitive flight attendant has been caught. She is identified as 32-year-old, former Jamaican beauty queen Marsha Gay Reynolds.
Our original report partially read:
The incident occurred on Friday. The suspect, who was not in uniform, showed a Jet Blue when she arrived at the security checkpoint. Traditionally, crew members are exempt from searches, but she was still selected for a random screening at Terminal 4. According to NBC News, the flight attendant appeared nervous and made a phone call in a foreign language the authorities could not identify. As she was taken to the secondary screening area, she grabbed her bags and broke out. As she ran, she dropped the bags and kicked off her Guccis, then hauled ass down an up escalator. When TSA agents searched her bags, they found the weight inside.
Updated reports say that while the investigation was unfolding, Reynolds was able to board a Jet Blue flight to the East Coast, on Saturday. She turned herself in in New York, and was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in a federal criminal complaint. According to reports, she has been in custody since Wednesday.
