Detroit Leader Of The Bounty Hunter Bloods Gets 30

The Bounty Hunter Bloods have been on the radar of Detroit law enforcement for some time, now. They are reportedly known for trafficking drugs and guns, as well as violence, home invasions, armed robberies and carjackings. According to the Detroit Free Press, the set is based “in an area between Schoolcraft Road and Seven Mile Road, east of Telegraph Road and west of Greenfield Road,” and has reach into other states, including North Carolina and California. Detroit One, a collaboration between the Detroit PD and ATF, has worked to dismantle the BHB and other gangs in the city. Today, they are reveling in the conviction and sentencing of BHB leader Ramiah “Nightmare” Jefferson, 27, and others in the set.

According to U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, Jefferson “encouraged violent crimes and trafficking, and ordered the killings and attempted killings of rivals.” In August, he was convicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Yesterday (April 19), Jefferson was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The Free Press writes:

Jefferson ordered at least some of these killings and attempted killings via Facebook, when he wrote in 2010 that it was “huntin’ season” and that he and fellow gang members needed to “knock them down one by one,” referring to rival gang members, prosecutors said.
