The evening of September 5th was one for the books. Dinner & A Movie with DJ Suss One sponsored by Def Jam, took over IPIC in New York City where some of the hottest influencers packed the theater to support the man of the evening. The event kicked off with a top-shelf cocktail hour and was followed by a VIP screening of Stephen King’s It: Chapter Two. Complemented with dinner, must-have movie snacks, and of course unlimited popcorn, ‘Dinner & A Movie’ ended up being the ultimate night out.
DJ Suss One’s star studded guest list included influencers such as VH1 Love & Hip Hop’s Cyn Santana, Sky Landish, Rich Dollaz and Nya Lee, MTV’s Wild N’ Out Justina Valentine, ThisIs50.com’s Jack Thriller, Pardison Fontaine, ItsBizkit, Lou Got Cash and Pretty Lou just to name a few. Popular comedian Shiggy pulled up with his girlfriend JYouBadd — the list goes on and on. The Feature Presentation’s prominent artists such as LeA Robinson and Chanti McCoy were also in the building supporting their team member. Suss One, who is a horror-film “movie buff” has thrown events like this in the past, but even his good friend, Lenny Grant, who also was in attendance, would say “It Hit Different!” Well-known hosts and DJs such as Power 105.1 NY’s Honey German, Sirius XM’s army DJ Whoo Kid, Ron Mills, Swaggy Sie, Hot 97 NY’s DJ Drewski and Megan Ryte, and Genius’s Rob Markman all came to support the screening event of the thriller and dared to be scared. The dimmed-lit setting along with reclined seats, blankets, pillows and amazing cocktails have been the new modern wave to enjoy your favorite upcoming films. “I’ve never been to something like this before,” said Cyn Santana, as she walked into the theater. The occasion was a different but refreshing experience for the entertainment industry, especially when The Feature Presentation Studios and Def Jam partner up.
The entire night was nothing less than epic with memorable people, good vibes and ended with one of the scariest movies to hit the screen in a long time. Every seat was filled with influential people who truly supported the impact Suss has made throughout the years. Everyone conveyed endless love to one of the most respected DJs in the game.
