It is well-known by now that drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is back behind bars after being recaptured on January 8. However, “Shorty” did not return to prison the same man he was when he escaped. According to reports, El Chapo had his man parts worked on after escaping maximum security prison this summer.
According to International Business Times, the world’s most powerful kingpin “was given a testicular implant in a Tijuana hospital to increase blood circulation.” The procedure, which required anesthesia, could not be performed in his hideout in the Sinaloa mountains. The particular procedure El Chapo underwent is recommended for men who suffer from erectile dysfunction. IBT reports:
Juvenal Perez, a urologist who examined El Chapo said he recognised the scars on the gangster’s lower abdomen as probably caused by the implantation of a penile prosthesis. “I saw the scars on the back, hips and reproductive system,” Perez, a member of the Mexican Academy of Urology told Reforma newspaper. This procedure, which costs around MXN350,000 (£13,500, $19,100, €17,560), involves implanting a bubble-shaped pump in the scrotum.
Additionally, “more than 4,000 pesos in medicines to improve sexual performance” were found in the house El Chapo was captured in. Also found in the house were four DVD’s of the TV series La Reina del Sur. The showed starred Kate del Castillo, who played a drug trafficking queenpin. Del Castillo was integral to hooking Sean Penn up with El Chapo for their infamous interview. Reports indicate that El Chapo was smitten with the actress. In September 2015, the billionaire sent a text invitation for the two to get better acquainted over wine, tequila and champagne, according to the NY Daily News, which revealed some of the text conversations:
“I’m not a drinker but your presence is going to be something beautiful. I want to get to know you and become very good friends. You are the best in the world,” Guzman texted.
“I will have everything ‘super’ so that you won’t have to worry about any details, which would be make me feel bad. Have faith that you will be comfortable. I will take care of you more than my own eyes.”
Castillo reciprocated Guzman’s interest.
“That’s so moving that you say you’ll take care of me — no one has ever told me they would care for me, thank you! I’m free next weekend!” she wrote.
Could El Chapo have been trying to get woo the del Castillo even further with the procedure on his privates? Will he escape from the bing again to reunite with his lady love? Only time will tell.
