It is well known among those that do dirt, that if you do dirt, it’s best not to draw attention to yourself. You definitely shouldn’t be broadcasting your illegal deeds in public. Florida man, John Balmer obviously didn’t get the memo. He didn’t broadcast his dirt like BMF with billboards and music videos. His boasting was much simpler. He wore a t-shirt.
The black t-shirt that Balmer wore had the words “Who Needs Drugs” on it in white letters. Under that question, the t-shirt reads, “No, seriously, I have drugs.” The 50-year-old was wearing the shirt as he shopped in KMart in Hudson. Before Balmer knew it, a deputy walked into the store. Seeing this, Balmer tried to hand “a bag of a green, leafy substance” to the person behind him, but that person refused it.
It is then reported that Balmer walked over to the register, placed the bag on the ground and attempted to pay for his items. At this point, another deputy walked into the store and asked Balmer to open his bag. When he did, the officers found an undisclosed amount of marijuana and methamphetamine.
Balmer was the arrested and charged with one count of possession of marijuana and a count of possession of methamphetamine. He is currently being held at the Pasco County Jail, with a bond set at $2,150 in Land O’ Lakes.
It isn’t clear if the t-shirt made the police approach Balmer or not, but he may have been able to just go home if he wore a less incriminating shirt.
