Griselda “La Madrina” Blanco (the infamous, yet legendary Colombian cocaine plug for NY and Miami in the 80’s who set the precedent for Pablo Escobar) had many reputations. One of earned her the nickname, “The Black Widow.” She earned this moniker by killing the three men she married, like the female spider of the same name. Only one man, Charles Cosby of Oakland, managed to love Blanco (while she was behind bars) and live to tell the tale. That’s not to say she didn’t try to kill him. Cosby regaled fans of the criminal underworld of his journey from struggling hustler to kingpin, with”The Godmother” supplying him in Cocaine Cowboys 2.
Now that singer/actress Jenifer Lopez has announced that she will be directing and starring in her own biopic about Blanco, Cosby let it be known that he wants no parts. Regarding “Conjugal Cosby’s” reaction to “Jenny From The Block” and her upcoming HBO film, TMZ writes:
The only non-murdered man who either dated or married a notorious killer is warning HBO — trash talk him in the biopic starring Jennifer Lopez and he’s suing your asses…
…Cosby wants NOTHING to do with the film … telling TMZ there better be no references to him … or else.
What’s more … Cosby — who narrated a documentary about Blanco’s life, “Cocaine Cowboys 2” — says he’s no Jennifer fan … calling her unconvincing with no street cred.
According to reports, Cosby is developing his own film project based on his former-ferocious lady love titled, Hustle. Also, if you remember, shortly after Griselda Blanco was clapped down, it was announced that Catherine Zeta-Jones would be playing her in another biopic. There hasn’t been too much noise around that one, as of late.
