Rapper Max B from Harlem, NY is trending worldwide after the Kanye West rant on Twitter last Wednesday. During the rant, Kanye West announced that he was going to change the title of his upcoming album from “Swish” to “Waves”. Rapper Wiz Khalifa begged to differ Kanye’s album title by explaining that, “Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.”
In response to Wiz Khalifa’s affirmation, Kanye was forced to pay homage to the “Wave King”, Max B. Max B began to trend worldwide after the exchange of words between Kanye and Wiz. Max has everyone from Jimmy Kimmel, to Rolling Stone discussing the mark he left on the hip hop game. He is currently being held at Trenton State New Jersey Correctional Facility, and was sentenced to 75 years.
There are rumors spreading that Max B physically murdered someone. What the public is not aware of is that one of the witnesses, which was his ex-girlfriend, during the murder trial recanted her statements, meaning that she changed what she originally stated in her testimony. There was no physical evidence that Max B conspired the armed robbery that resulted in death, and he was not at the scene of the crime. Also, Max has not been “accosted”, or had any altercations with anyone concerning his humanity as previously reported.
There is a White House petition for Max B that will be available on February 1st which is also National Freedom Day. If the petition can gain 100,000 signatures, Max has a chance to be pardoned or can be eligible for another appeal. I am hoping that his industry associates can spread the word so that Max can have a real chance at freedom.
The link to sign the petition is www.supportmaxb.com. You can also follow his former manager on Instagram @harlem_matriarch for the latest updates on the petition and Max B’s status. In the words of Max B, “I’m just keeping it wavy baby, owww.”
