It is not uncommon for dudes getting money together to fall out over money and fuck everything up. A quartet of Israeli cocaine dealers recently experienced such a fate after it was discovered that one was messing with his partner’s ex. Emanuel Amueyel, Dan Ben-Tulila and Sarah Ben-Abu and Yossi Gabbai, all Israeli with citizenship in France have all been arrested. The crew is being investigated for crimes such as importing and selling drugs, conspiracy to commit a crime and attempted murder, according to the Times of Israel.
An investigation into the drug ring was launched in November after receiving a tip. According to reports, Amueyel recruited young ladies in France to smuggle packs of coke “within their bodies” and take them to Israel. Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, Ben-Tulila would collect the cocaine and pay the women around $3,000 for their troubles. The cocaine would then be packaged and sold on the Israel streets for around $386 per gram.
The obviously sweet operation was disrupted when Amueyel and Ben-Tulila started to bicker over money. Tensions were intensified when Amueyel found out that a romance was budding between Ben-Tulila and his ex-girlfriend, who was one of their old drug mules. Amueyel was so enraged that he decided he to kill Ben-Tulila. When Amueyel traveled to Israel to body his partner in November, police picked him up when he reached Tel Aviv. Ben-Tulila, Ben-Abu and Gabbai were knocked by the authorities a few days later.
The crew’s remand in custody has been extended four times since their arrests, and was extended yet again on Sunday by the Magistrate Court of Jerusalem until New Year’s Eve (December 31).
