Last week, the much-anticipated biopic of the storied drug dealer and Richard “White Boy Rick” Wershe, Jr. was released into theaters. The reactions to the release have been mixed. Wershe has many supporters throughout the country who believe that he has been locked up for too long on non-violent drug charges. However, many in the streets believe that Wershe is a glorified rat whose story does not deserve to be told.
