In the third and final installment of the legendary Godfather trilogy, Don Michael Corleone is upset with his son didn’t want to follow in his footsteps. Anthony Corleone chose to pursue a career as an opera singer instead of finishing law school and lending his expertise to the empire. Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán, recently escaped, billionaire overlord of the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico doesn’t have to worry about that with his sons. FOX News wrote:
Nicknamed “Los Chapitos,” Iván Archivaldo, Jesús Alfredo and Ovidio have been listed in various documents filed by the U.S. Justice and Treasury departments over the last decade for alleged drug trafficking and money laundering activities.
The sons of El Chapo don’t seem to be too worried about any government agency watching. Their unbotheredness is evidenced by El Chapo’s eldest, Iván Archivaldo’s (a.k.a. Luis or Chapito) social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. He flashes the spoils of dominating the international drug trade, such as expensive bottles of liquor, souped-up luxury cars, exotic animals as pets and a coffee table made totally out of stacks of cash. He also shows that he’s really ‘bout that life with flicks of high powered guns and grenades lying around as he parties with “plebes.”
Iván Archivaldo’s was one of the 60 names of Sinaloa cartel members listed in an indictment filed by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California announced in January. They were charged “for introducing large quantities of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines and marijuana to the United States in vehicles, trucks, boats and tunnels.” He’d spent three years in Mexican prison after a 2005 arrest, but was released due to lack of evidence.
