A love triangle tend to not end well. When one person is running around with two significant others, it most often ends in turmoil. Most of the time, these affairs end in heartbreak, but sometimes, things can escalate into full blown violence. An example of the latter happened recently in Las Vegas, when a young woman tried to snipe her lover’s side piece from her apartment window.
The three subjects in this love triangle are Breyana Lewis, Daquesha Fowler, 20, and Gregory Myrick, 21. According to Lewis, she and Myrick had been engaged in a sexual relationship for the past two months. Myrick is engaged to Fowler, but had been seeing Lewis on the side. One night, Myrick and Lewis were at odds because Myrick thought Lewis might be pregnant and wanted her to take a morning-after pill and she refused. All the while, Myrick was texting somebody.
After awhile, Lewis drove Myrick to his apartment complex. When he exited her vehicle, someone started shooting at Lewis. It was Fowler who was firing a green Savage Model 64 .22 caliber long rifle from the second floor in an “ambush-style attack.” Lewis was able to escape and call 911. She was examined at the University Medical Center where it was found that she had a single gunshot to her upper right forehead. According to reports, “The bullet did not pierce her skull, however, and traveled around the cranium to the top of her head, where it remains.” She was released later that afternoon.
Myrick and Fowler were found in an apartment later and the rifle was found in the closet. Allegedly, Fowler told Myrick (recently released from prison for robbery) that Lewis had been driving around the apartment complex and Myrick gave her the gun to protect herself and their three children.
A charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon is the result of this love triangle for Myrick and Fowler . Fowler faces additional charges of firing a gun at a vehicle and firing a gun from an occupied building. Myrick also faces a charge of felony possession of a firearm by an ex-felon.
