Mexican Cop Suspended For Posting Nude Online
Nidia Garcia could be considered a wild woman for serving on the police force in the volatile streets of Mexico. To be exact, she serves in the city of Escebedo, an industrial suburb of Monterrey, where a lot of crime goes down. However, she made an even wilder decision by posting a topless photo on Facebook (which is wild in and of itself). What makes Garcia’s post even more controversial is that she was in uniform (kinda) and in her squad car, holding an assault rifle. After the nude made its rounds throughout Mexico, Garcia (a mother-of-two) “was immediately relieved of her duties pending an investigation.”
The Daily Mail posted the text from an apology that Garcia posted on Facebook:
I was wrong in letting myself be photographed in my hours of work while still wearing the uniform of an officer.
I want to ask a huge apology to the secretary of security and Justice of proximity and more to my municipality general Escobedo for this immoral act on my part.
I feel disgusted by the great damage caused and the damage done mainly to my two daughters, followed by my husband, my parents, brothers and entire family.
The spokesman for the Nuevo Leon state government wrote a statement in response to the fiasco. It reads, in part:
She was immediately reprimanded and is currently at the mercy of the state’s internal police Honour and Justice Commission, which will be determining the next steps to be taken.
Whether Garcia snapped the nude herself or if she was assisted by a patrol partner is unknown. View pics of Nidia Garcia below:
