Straight Outta Compton, the critically acclaimed biographical story of gangsta rap pioneers NWA, was a pretty good movie. It was good enough for folks to wonder why it wasn’t up for any Oscars.
However, there are critics of the film, who say that the misogyny present during the NWA reign was missing. The infamous incident with Dr. Dre and Dee Barnes is an example of one of the omissions. Another one is the complete exclusion of Deth Row R&B songstress Michel’le, who was in abusive relationships with both Dr. Dre and Suge Knight.
To fill in that blank, Michel’le produce and narrate (should be interesting with her high-pitched voice) her own biopic for Lifetime, called Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me.
