This Friday, Nef the Pharaoh and Shootergang Kony will be dropping their collaborative EP, Vice Versa. To whet fans’ appetites before the project is released, the duo has dropped the EP’s title track, “Vice Versa,” which features Sage The Gemini and Raymond McMahon.
For a little background on Nef The Pharaoh and Shootergang Kony read below:
Nef The Pharaoh quickly established himself as one of the most unique and popular emcees in the Bay. Signed to E-40’s Sick Wid It Records, the charismatic emcee is a fixture on regional radio, releasing an acclaimed collaborative EP with Cardo Got Wingz (Kendrick Lamar, Drake) in 2016 and hitting in 2017 with the single “Bling Blaow,” which features Slimmy B of SOB x RBE. This summer, Nef shared his debut album The Big Chang Theory as well as Porter2Grape, an action-packed 5-track collaborative EP with L.A. rapper 03 Greedo.
Shootergang Kony is an up and coming 19-year-old rapper from Sacramento, CA (Oak Park) who Nef’s son put him onto – Nef overheard his son rapping lyrics to a Kony track and decided to reach out for a collab. Kony already has a cult-like fanbase of his own though, with ties to other Bay Area rappers like Mozzy, ALLBLACK, SOB x RBE, and Shootergang Jojo. He also just released a mixtape, Ginobili, a few weeks ago.
