Well, this July the Hen-na Hotel translated in English as Strange Hotel located in Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan will be up in running with it’s Robot staff.
The theme park is a replica of a Dutch village which attracts plenty of tourist and will now house the 72 room hotel. Robots will be helping you at the front desk, cleaning rooms and carrying luggage. The hotel will also have facial recognition technology and will allow guest to open their door without a key.
Hideo Sawada the company president stated: “We will make the most efficient hotel in the world.” They plan on doing so while reducing labor cost.
Rooms will be rented on a auction system starting at 7,000 yen ($60 USD) a night. The robot staff will start off as 10 but will eventually get to being over 90% of the staff. The robots will look human, make hand gestures and speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean and English.
