Steve Harvey Teams Up With Paula Deen?

Paula Deen is still in the midst of controversy. Plenty of people are still sore about the allegations of racism brought against her and her family a little while back. She planned a “Southern Plantation wedding” with Black servers dressed as slaves. She is also accused of racist remarks and practices toward employees at her restaurants. Deen suffered the loss of endorsements and jobs due to the controversy. She has tried to bounce back with her subscriber-only website, but TV/radio host and comedian Steve Harvey is looking to lend Deen a helping hand.   Deen is scheduled to appear on The Steve Harvey Show for a “no holds barred” interview during the daytime show.

Furthermore, Harvey will announce that Deen will be leading culinary instruction at his mentoring camp for young Black boys without fathers. The move has been met with major backlash on social media. People don’t feel that Harvey should be doing this. Many feel that she is still very much a racist and has no place instructing young Black men on anything.   According to GrubStreet, Harvey said, “[S]he’s saying, ‘Look, I made a wrong. This is who I really am, and this is how I want to present myself,'” says Harvey. The TV host says she’s “agreed to take as many boys as I want to fly down to Savannah, and teach them culinary skills. That, to me, is how you get something from something.”[S]he’s saying, ‘Look, I made a wrong.
