Ask any Black man around and they’ll tell you, a haircut is of utmost importance. Not only is a chop needed to stay fresh on during your daily routine, after your barber brushes you off and hits you with the spray, you feel like a million bucks when you hit the streets. What about the times you’re away from your regular barbershop and need a sharp line-up? What if you want to do the unthinkable and change barbers should your regular hair groomer fall off? That’s where the Cue app comes in.
Cue is an app available in the App Store (coming soon to Google Play) that lets you find a quality barber in your area if you’re wolfing or just need to be cleaned up.The app is the work of a small team based in New York looking to expand. According to Blavity, “They’ve been working with barbers in NYC, Washington D.C., LA, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Houston to integrate technology into their day-to-day work-flow.”
The Cue app is also an opportunity for barbers to advertise their services to a broader audience. Blavity writes, “The days of not knowing what a specific cut could or should look like are also over, as barbers can showcase their handiwork directly in the app.” Furthermore, barbers can post their prices, so patrons know what they’re getting into when they get in the chair without being surprised when hit with a pricier cost than expected. Customers will also be able to leave reviews for their experiences.
On its official website, the Cue team writes:
This app was designed to help people (like YOU!) find, book, pay and rate top barbers in major cities worldwide. Our passion comes from a collective belief that everyone deserves access to high level grooming on an ongoing basis. In short, getting a haircut should be easy. Anytime. Anywhere. Our vision is to develop digital solutions that will help barbers optimize their business and help people like us (The Cue Team!) more easily stay sharp.
