See How Teens In Maximum Security Prison Live [DOCUMENTARY]

Yesterday, we shared a documentary about kids serving life sentences in prison (the United States is the only country in the world to do it). Today, we are presenting this documentary following the lives of kids living in maximum security prison, where the worst of the worst are locked away. Should a child be really be housed with the hooligans? Are they as cognizant of right and wrong as a grown adult?

This is an important issue to us, and will be demonstrated in our upcoming print issue. The subject of one of the three cover stories for Issue #60 is Davontae Sanford, who was thrown away at 14 for a Detroit mass killing committed by a serial killer. Though home now, he spent years in a Michigan maximum security facility. To read Davontae’s story and more exclusives, subscribe to our print edition here.
