Starlito Allegedly Involved In Nashville Restaurant Shooting

Witnesses and store employees said a local rapper was involved in an East Nashville restaurant shooting Tuesday evening. That local rapper is up-and-comer Starlito.

According to Pitchfork:

Starlito (real name Jermaine Shute) has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place at a restaurant in Nashville on Tuesday night, as local NBC affiliate WSMV reports. A warrant for Shute’s arrest was issued following the shooting, with the rapper turning himself in to the authorities on Wednesday morning. He has been charged with felony aggravated assault and unlawful gun possession, according to court records. A government press release states that the incident began when a man named James Fletcher allegedly “had words with two other men” and punched one of them at the Nashville restaurant. Shute then reportedly shot Fletcher in the leg, according to WSMV. Pitchfork contacted Starlito’s representatives, who offered no comment.
