In her talk, Jayden speaks about her experiences as an intern for Released and Restored. She discusses the “education to prison pipeline” and reinforces the power of education as a means to reduce the incarceration of youth in the prison system in the United States

Jayden Barth, is 20 and a junior Sociology major with minors in environmental studies, human rights and humanitarian affairs at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. As an intern for Released and Restored, a faith-based prison program that prepares incarcerated persons for re-release into society, she has developed a passion around helping people in this area.
