It’s never a good idea to notify police of your own illegal activity unless you are confessing or turning yourself in. 19-year-old Amanda Paige Twomey of Woodbridge, VA learned that lesson the hard way after being swindled by 20-year-old weed dealer, Jackson Crisler and calling the Prince William County police after a deal gone bad.
NBC Philadelphia reports that Twomey called police at 5:10 PM on Sunday. She claimed that she’d been robbed at gunpoint by Crisler after she called him to buy some weed. She claimed that when he got there, he drew the gun on her demanding money and she complied. During their investigation, detectives discovered that Twomey gave up the money willingly in hopes of getting some trees to smoke in return, but Crisler simply took the money and never gave her any bud.It was at this point she called police.
Both parties have since been charged with crimes. Twomey filing a false police report and attempted possession of marijuana. Crisler is charged with attempted possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Woodbridge residents are being held without bond and face a judge on October 28th.
