Young Dro was recently sentenced to 45 days in prison.
The Grand Hustle rapper will serve the time for violating his probation after he was found in possession of weed and a firearm while driving in a school zone last month. However, he will only be in jail until October 12, since he is being credited with time served from his arrest on August 28.
Dro was originally charged with “theft by conversion” last year when he didn’t return a girlfriend’s car at a time that he promised to. He initially pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years probation with a $1,000 fine. He was facing at least ten years, but he managed to avoid doing serious time. He violated that sentence when he was arrested in the school zone. Dro was also arrested in July for felony possession of a controlled substance. That particular case is still pending and could land him in jail for 2-15 years depending on how the trial goes.
