To promote his upcoming album, Seen It All, Georgia rapper and self-proclaimed “trap star” Young Jeezy has joined fellow rapper and weed enthusiast, Wiz Khalifa on his Under The Influence tour. Wiz recently had to cancel his Saturday show in Chula Vista, CA due to a backstage shooting at the previous night’s show that left one man dead.
Time reports that the Mountain View Police Department received calls reporting a shooting at the Shoreline Amphitheater Friday night. There they discovered a 38-year-old man shot multiple times. He died at the hospital. The next day, in Irvine, CA, Jeezy was arrested at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater along with five others in connection with the shooting.
Jeezy’s tour bus was searched as officers executed a search warrant. They discovered an assault rifle on board. All six men detained were said to be “cooperative” in the investigation and none has been charged with the murder. However, Jeezy (government name Jay Jenkins) is currently being held with bail set at $1 million at the Orange County Police Department.
It looks like Wiz will continue traveling on the Under The Influence Tour. Jeezy’s future is uncertain at the moment, but he is expected to be out shortly. His new, highly anticipated studio album, Seen It All is due for a Sept 2nd release. Check out Jeezy in his latest interview on the Combat Jack Show.
